Routine, cost and practical trade-offs
| Compare | UMZU Redwood | UMZU Redwood Max |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer’s routine | 3 capsules twice daily with food and water (6 capsules per day), per the manufacturer. | 2 capsules once daily with water and a meal, per the manufacturer. |
| Supply at that routine | 30 days at the manufacturer’s stated routine | 30 days at the manufacturer’s stated routine |
| Cost per label serving | $0.75 per label serving | $1.50 per label serving |
| Cost at the stated routine | $1.50 per day | $1.50 per day |
| Main trade-off | The classic formula contains a milk-derived ingredient and has a six-capsule daily direction. UMZU states this finished product has not been tested in a clinical trial. | No declared citrulline or nitrate dose. Individual Fitnox constituents are not isolated; formula changes need their own evidence. |
The formulas are different
Classic Redwood lists garlic and a milk-derived peptide ingredient. Max introduces Fitnox, tart cherry and resveratrol alongside other changes. Classic Redwood discloses all six active amounts per three-capsule label serving and recommends two servings a day. Max discloses amounts per two capsules, taken once daily, while keeping the individual Fitnox components proprietary. Both reviewed bottles therefore last 30 days.
Fewer capsules do not prove a better outcome
A more convenient daily routine is a practical advantage. A claim that Max works better requires a comparison of the two finished products, with matching populations and outcomes. We have not verified such a trial.
Our read
Choose Max for its changed ingredient mix or lower stated capsule count if those suit your needs. Neither formula provides a declared gram-scale citrulline dose or a quantified nitrate dose in the sources reviewed. That distinguishes them from an amino acid and nitrate formula; it does not rule out botanical effects.
